Welcome To Uganda

Uganda is a landlocked country in East Africa whose diverse landscape encompasses the snow-capped Rwenzori Mountains and immense Lake Victoria. Its abundant wildlife is the chimpanzees.

 Uganda has different tourist destinations; Bwindi Impenetrable National Park known for its mountain gorilla sanctuary, Murchison Falls National Park known for its 43m tall waterfall, and Queen Elizabeth National Park known for the tree-climbing lions and leopards.

Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is located in southwestern Uganda. It is known for its gorilla population which is half of the world`s gorilla population.

Wildlife

This great jewel of a reserve is actually an ancient forest dating back 25000 years. Besides the majestic gorillas, you will discover chimpanzees, monkeys, baboons, and even antelope species.

Besides the excitement of the gorillas, Bwindi offers opportunities for colorful woodland walks through luxuriant rainforests. It is also a magical place for birdwatchers and flora lovers. Not to be missed are the community walks through the local villages where you will get a chance to learn about the culture of the Batwa and Bakiga living in the villages at the forest edges.

Queen Elizabeth National Park

Queen Elizabeth National Park is Uganda`s most visited national park and is often paired with Gorilla trekking in Bwindi or chimp trekking in Kibale forest. It is located in the southwestern region of Uganda along the border of the Democratic Republic of Congo.

The park is famous for its big cats including tree climbing lions and leopards. Game drives in reveal the parks range of big game including elephants, buffalos, antelopes, and warthogs.

There are over 600 bird species and you can even pair a game drive or boat safari with chimp trekking in the mystical forests of Kyambura Gorge.

Murchison Falls National Park

Murchison falls is located on the shore of Lake Albert in northwest Uganda. The park is known for Murchison falls where the Victoria Nile River surges through a narrow gap over a massive drop.

Wildlife

The park hosts 4 of the `big five’ ( buffalo, elephant, leopard, lion), giraffes, bushbucks, waterbucks, warthogs and crocodiles as well as variety of bird species.
