Day 1 · Kigali to Volcanoes
Kigali to Volcanoes National Park
Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport or after breakfast at your hotel, meet your professional safari guide for a short briefing. If time permits, enjoy a brief Kigali city tour, including the Kigali Genocide Memorial and local craft markets. After lunch, depart for Volcanoes National Park, a scenic 2.5-hour drive through Rwanda's picturesque countryside, known as the Land of a Thousand Hills. Arrive at your lodge in the afternoon and spend the rest of the day relaxing while preparing for tomorrow's gorilla trek. Accommodation at your hotel. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, & Dinner.

Day 2 · Volcanoes National Park
Golden Monkey Tracking and Sundowner
Wake up early for breakfast before heading to the park headquarters for registration and a briefing by experienced park rangers. You will be assigned a habituated gorilla family based on your fitness level. The trek may last from 1 to 6 hours, depending on the gorillas' location. Once you find the gorillas, enjoy a magical hour observing these gentle giants as they feed, play, groom one another, and interact in their natural habitat. After descending from the forest, receive your gorilla trekking certificate before returning to the lodge for lunch. In the afternoon, relax at the lodge or choose an optional cultural village visit. Accommodation at your Lodge. Meals: Breakfast, lunch, & Dinner.

Day 3 · Lake Kivu
Volcanoes to Lake Kivu
After breakfast, enjoy an optional Golden Monkey Trek or simply relax before checking out. Drive to Lake Kivu, one of Africa's Great Lakes, renowned for its crystal-clear waters and beautiful lakeside towns. Arrive in the afternoon and check into your lakeside resort. Spend the remainder of the day relaxing on the beach, taking a sunset walk, kayaking, or enjoying an optional boat cruise. Accommodation at your Lodge. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, & Dinner.

Enjoy a leisurely breakfast overlooking the lake before departing for Kigali. Depending on your flight schedule, you may have time for souvenir shopping before your transfer to Kigali International Airport for your departure flight.
